About
I'm Dillon, the creative force behind the blooms.
My journey in design began as a kid growing up in Benson, NC, where my love for decorating Christmas ignited my passion for design. The love for bringing beauty to life continued to grow in the garden, where I would later discover my love for floral design.

how it all began
After moving to Wilmington in 2013 to continue my education after high school, I found myself immersed in the event industry by catering for weddings and later working as a delivery driver for a local flower shop.
The early days were a testament to dedication and resilience. Working out of our 500sqft apartment, Kyle and I navigated a work-life balance with flowers constantly filling our small apartment. In 2018, as Designs by Dillon continued to bloom, Kyle and I purchased our first home. Our home became the new headquarters for Designs By Dillon – the kitchen table doubling as my office, a bedroom and shed housing vases and candles, and the carport transformed into my floral studio. Not to mention the large commercial walk-in cooler we purchased and proudly displayed in the backyard, a nod to our commitment to housing beautiful blooms.
The year 2019 marked the signing of a lease for our first commercial space, a significant leap forward in our journey. Come March 2020, we opened the doors to our studio space where creativity could thrive and Designs by Dillon would continue to flourish.

...it's a space where we bring our passion for design to elevate our clients' dreams beyond what they could ever imagine. Each bloom is an expression of art; a unique creation that reflects the essence of a special moment.
